Established in 2011 by sister trio Miss A, Miss R and Miss D, A Touch of Glitz and Glam has proudly been a local family-owned and operated company since the very beginning.

We want each and every guest at our pamper parties and events to have a fun and memorable experience with us. Our vision is to provide an exceptional level of service to our customers right from the beginning and through to party day.
Our journey started back in 2011 with an idea on a whim.
The dream was to spend more time with our sisters and with family in a fulfilling and rewarding long term role.
At the time, we were each working elsewhere. Miss R was a primary school teacher with a creative styling flair. Miss A was a nail technician by trade and working as a paralegal. Miss D was a qualified makeup artist who was in the midst of finishing her communications degree. From the outside it seemed as though our career paths were quite dissimilar, but we saw the potential for something special.
And so A Touch of Glitz and Glam was our answer.
We decided to dedicate our time to building, nurturing and growing a company that would not only support us – but whose values we wholeheartedly supported too.

These are the values that have remained at the core and forefront of everything we do here at A Touch of Glitz and Glam. Over the last ten years, we have been truly blessed to have played a part in just over 3000 birthdays alone without counting other events. From parties to shopping centre and brand activations – we’ve had an absolute ball! We have also proudly watched our team grow to include 15 wonderful hostesses whom we are very proud to call part of our glam family.
Over the years we’ve undergone a few makeovers of our own and as such we are very excited to be embarking on a new chapter. After a decade of memories, we thought we’d take a moment to reflect and share a little about our journey to this point.
Our humble beginnings started at a time even before social media. We vividly remember designing our first logo (pictured below) using Microsoft Word and then typing out a list of our packages. It was an exciting notion to be able to combine our backgrounds and experience within the beauty industry and education sector to create an entertaining beauty salon experience for children of all ages.
This was the foundation for our Glam Party – which remains our most popular package to date. We are so thankful for the opportunities we were granted during the early days and the trust people instilled in us and our company. All of which carried us through to our next chapter (the chandelier) which brought us through to 2020 – agreeably the most challenging year for us to date. We spent our lockdown months working on updating our skills, techniques and bettering ourselves as a company. Transition periods can bring so much change and of course a fresh outlook however we wanted our next chapter to more so be focussed on our roots as an ode to who we are a business and individuals.
We wanted to share our journey with you all to give insight into who we are as a team and who you are supporting when you choose to book with us.
We don’t outsource our admin or design work. When you call us, you’re not left to speak with a bot but rather someone from our family team. Each and every ribbon is tied by our own hands and our gifts are wrapped with love. We’re not a large conglomerate or an impersonal company. We are a team of women who genuinely love their work. But above all, we are a family – and when you choose to invite us to your event, we welcome you as part of our glam family too.
We are extremely blessed and proud to still be welcoming guests to our events ten years later with as much love and passion as we did at the start of our journey. Which is why we can’t wait to continue growing-up with our customers, enjoying the journey every step of the way and partying with everyone well into the future!
